BY NICK REMSEN
May 7, 2026
Anywhere that can hold the ’50s grandeur, the naughties, and the cleaner present all at once—and make you feel as much nostalgia as enjoyment—is a place that knows exactly what it is. Some hotels have merely a sense of history. The Delano is a piece of history.

A South Beach icon, the Delano reopened in June 2026 after a six-year closure, now part of Ennismore. The famed Rose Bar and infinity pool are back alongside new dining offerings by Dubai’s Paris Society, ushering in a new and fabulous era for this Collins Avenue address.

Inside the Delano Miami Beach, an art deco legend reborn for the modern era

Despite its deep roots – and thoughtful choices that pay homage to its glam past – the Delano feels refreshingly on the pulse, thanks to its airy palette and impressive collection of works by Miami artists – including a mythical glazed stoneware relief by Nina Surel, oil paintings by Natalie Galindo and striking botanic sculptures by Alissa Alfonso that adorn the walls outside of Rose Bar.

Delano Miami Beach – Checking-In
BY UWERN JONG
June 9, 2026
Some hotels have long helped define how a city is remembered. The Delano Miami Beach is one, though less a hotel than a cultural signal, its whitewashed, Miami-Modern theatricality folded into the wider mythology of South Beach itself. For decades, it has occupied a rare place in our collective imaginations – a backdrop to fashion, music, design and nightlife, but also a symbol of the city’s ability to reinvent itself while remaining unmistakably Miami. Its reimagining and return arrive at a moment when Miami is once again recalibrating its identity, balancing global ambition with a renewed sense of place.
“Having covered Miami Beach’s hotel scene for nearly two decades, I can say with confidence that Delano 3.0 ranks among the city’s very best. It’s not just the rooms or the pool or the restaurants. It’s how thoughtfully every piece works together.”
– Conde Nast Traveler
“We remember walking into Delano Miami Beach for the first time all those years ago and being in awe, and all these years later, that first impression returned.”

The Miami Hotel linked to Madonna has a new look – I checked in
BY ELLA BUCHAN
July 24, 2026
he Delano hotel in Miami Beach opened in 1947, when the Florida beach resort was an early playground for the rich and glamorous, but it was as a key venue of the 1990s party scene that it became truly legendary. That’s when the maverick architect Philippe Starck and the developer Ian Schrager transformed the property into a minimalist space with a decidedly maximalist approach to having a good time.

Why Paris Society Chose the Delano For it’s First American Restaurant
BY RACHEL DUBE
July 13, 2026
Paris Society has been building some of the world’s most talked-about restaurants for the better part of a decade. Mimi Kakushi in Dubai, Gigi Rigolatto in Saint-Tropez and Maison Revka in Paris all fall under their umbrella. A U.S. opening has felt inevitable for years.
That address turned out to be the Delano Miami Beach.

Nothing Finer: The Delano Miami Beach Returns
BY CATIE CASE
AUGUST 18, 2026
Before it became synonymous with Ian Schrager and Philippe Starck, the Delano was already a Miami landmark. Designed by architect Robert Swartburg and opened in 1947 under the slogan “Nothing Finer,” it was named for Franklin Delano Roosevelt and, for a time, lived up to the association, hosting presidents, royalty, and notables within its 14 stories of clean vertical fins and subtropical geometry—an early expression of what historians would later call Miami Modern.

its rich history with reinvention.”

LES ECHOS
Hôtel : nous avons testé le « Delano », icône ressuscitée de Miami
BY JEAN-MICHEL DE ALBERTI
June 7, 2026
“Delano Miami Beach is a chic, grown-up – much-needed and welcome – addition to the South Beach scene.”
